Xpert Digi Taxis was founded by Vinny Kearns ex. Vice President of the National Taxi Drivers Union. He was also appointed to various transport councils and committees namely Taoiseach’s Taxi Forum, National Taxi Advisory Council, Clare St. Initiative, International Road Transport Union, E.U and O.E.C.D transport councils (with special emphasis on special needs transport) and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Development Board. During his visits to many E.U cities he carried out his research for Xpert Digi Taxis based on available technology and best practice. He is now C.E.O of the company.
Assisted by Myles O Reilly, Chairman of the board of Xpert Taxis, a graduate of the Programme for Management Development at the Harvard Business School and a former Chartered Accountant and Public Auditor, he fulfilled the roles of Chief Accountant, Management Accountant, Managing Director, and Financial Director between 1963 and 1986. Myles O'Reilly was Chairman of the Fair Trade Commission between 1986-1991. During that time he was a member of the EU Committee on restrictive practices and dominant positions. He was the Minister's representative to the Competition Law and Policy Committee of OECD.
In the short period of time since our launch, Xpert Taxis has become one of Ireland’s leading taxi fleets. Each taxi features a wide variety of new and innovative technology, differentiating Xpert from its competitors. Our aim is to continuously develop a professional taxi service which places the utmost priority on the safety and security of both passenger and driver. All Xpert taxis are tracked using GPS allowing us to send the nearest car to your location. Our unique partnership with O2 using GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) places us as the only taxi company with nationwide communications connectivity. Our in-car chip n pin credit card terminals also use GPRS Bluetooth technology. In the event of an incident occurring in our taxis all images are recorded and can be easily accessed.
All our drivers are full time operators ensuring greater knowledge of the Dublin area. All our drivers are required to wear uniforms bearing the Xpert logo. We operate a taxi only fleet with all cars fitted with meters and receipts available on request.
Xpert Digi Taxis is controlled by an experienced board and management team with the necessary skill sets to fulfil every customer requirement.
